Christmas Eve - 4 pm

St. Mary’s of the Lake Christmas Eve Youth Pageant Rehearsal Schedule and General Information
Thank you so much for permitting your child to be a part of the pageant. We know this time of year is very busy, so we are really happy that your “busy-ness” includes Christ. Our Christmas pageant takes place during the proclaiming of the Gospel during the 4:00pm Christmas Eve Mass. The children act out the Gospel while Fr. Dunn is reading it …very, very slowly. The children also may chose to be lectors for the Mass. The Wisepeople (male and female) bring up the gifts and all the children sing the Communion Mediation. Christmas Eve Mass and Pageant – 4PM
Students may sign up to be in the pageant and/or be a lector.
If they would just like to be a lector that is fine!
Rehearsals:
Practices will be Tuesday, Dec 18th at 5pm for everyone (readers extra practice 4:30)
Thursday, Dec 20th for everyone 5pm to finish(6:30pm)
Readers’ Rehearsals: If your child has indicated at sign-up that he/she would like to be a reader, we will have an extra rehearsal at the beginning of the 12/18 rehearsal at 4:30 pm and we will send you the reading ahead of time.
Costumes:
The costumes will be distributed at the first rehearsal and are to be returned immediately after Mass on Christmas Eve to room #22.
Please feel free to clean, pin, sew or alter the costume so that it may fit your child. If you are having difficulties dressing your child, please come to room 22 before the pageant and someone will help you.
Christmas Eve Mass and Pageant – 4PM
All actors, singers and lectors should be at church on the 24th by 3:15pm to ensure an aisle seat and to get in costume.
