2020 Kindergarten at Home!
This year in the Kindergarten FF class Mr Vitale has been using the Bible App for Kids with the children. Our focus in K is bible stories so along with reading them the app's videos told the stories also.
There is an app you can download (free) and it has a cute map of bible stories and games for the kids to play with each story. The videos are short and games quick.

There is also a fabulous website for parents that has longer videos that incorporate the bible story plus more, a search, songs, bible facts - it reminds me of Blues Clues (a favorite in the Molnar household when my 20somethings were preschool/Kindergarten).
The website also has coloring sheets, adventure books and parent guides for each video.
I hope you will check these out and that the children enjoy them!

Our formal Faith Formation classes begin with Kindergarten. The class is offered Sunday morning at 9 am and Monday evening at 6pm. The class meets in room 23 upstairs.
In Kindergarten we focus on learning about God's love for us and how we were uniquely created in God's image with special gifts we will use to love and serve others. We introduce sacred scripture, prayer, the Mass and Catholic doctrine through stories, games, crafts, activities, tours of the church and special projects. Below is a syllabus of what we work on each week.
Recommended At Home Books, Reading and videos

Beginner's Bible books. They come in board books, toddler books and preschool books. Each story is well illustrated, short and engaging. Adding a quick bible story each night as you read to your baby or young child helps your child learn the most popular bible stories and sets a framework of learning the stories of our faith.
Prayers to work on with your child this year...
The Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Glory Be to the Father
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Our Father
Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace! The Lord is with you;
blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit
of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us
sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
